April 19, 2009

Our one year wedding anniversary! With my friend Julianne babysitting Ada, who was sound asleep, Chris and I went out for dinner...just the *two* of us. Mmm...I started with a glass of rose perseco, he a negroni. We reminisced about our amazing year and felt so lucky to have each other and Ada...proud and very tired parents!

Avocado?

Do you see Ada's "balloon hands"? I call them her hot dog fingers. Somebody actually came up to me once and said, "Is your baby wearing a bracelet...a rubber band?" Ha ha..."No" I replied. "Those are her fat wrists."

Loving her high chair

Ada loves her high chair. She loves sitting up and hanging out in it, which gives Chris and I a moment to shower or wash dishes. I love this video of Ada because every now and then she cracks up and gives out her hilarious smile just for the sake of it, which is soooooo Ada. She is such a happy baby..such a good good baby...and every moment of the day Chris and I feel too lucky.

Escape!

This baby is too smart. If you look the other way, just even for a moment, she is always up to something. Ada doesn't even crawl yet, but she can wiggle and squirm her way out of anything! She's a sneaky fast one...

Loving Food

Ada loves food. It has gotten to the point where we can't even eat our food in front of her. She won't even be hungry, but the very sight of food alone makes her go crazy. She looks at us like, "What? You aren't going to give me any?" -- we have to eat in hiding! It is too much of a tease. We first started off with rice cereal, but that stuff has no taste at all. Then we fed her carrots and boy oh boy she loves that stuff. We wanted to her something that wasn't sweet, so we then started giving her green beans. Much to our surprise, we couldn't get enough of that green mash into her mouth. Obviously girlfriend is of the Italia-Mexi-Korean breed - (Tata says it is definitely her Italian side)...not picky about food, will eat anything and never refuse a bite, and eat to the point of being overfed. After her meals, she turns to me to say, "Can you please undo my belt buckle?"

Ada is Happy

This a new park at the end of our street in Brooklyn. We get the most beautiful skyline of Manhattan on clear days. This day was a bit warm, so I brought Ada to the park...she loved watching the boats go by. At night, when I lie in bed falling asleep, I think about those chubby cheeks and that cute smile.
