Revenge of the Nerds

We don't know if Ada is a librarian, nerd, or too cool for school hipster here (doesn't she look like the Asian DJ from Dee-lite?) but we had to take these glasses off of her because she was going cross-eyed with them on! Poor Ada...her parents subject her to all kinds of things just for laughs and kicks!

Feet

We don't know how or why, but Ada's feet smell like feet. How? It's not like she wears shoes...just clean socks! It's not that her feet smell so bad or anything...but they still smell like feet!

Inauguration Day

Here is Ada on Inauguration Day, January 20th, 2009. She is now 4 months old and we can't believe how big and long she has grown! It felt incredible to be in the city that day, everyone was in the best of moods and Ada managed to stop three people on the street who just had to come up to her, babble at her and pinch her chubby cheeks. It is hilarious to walk down the street and see people making these ridiculous faces, and then realizing that they are trying to get Ada's attention! Everyone was like, "Awww...what a cute baby! Who is our president? Who is our president? Yes! That's right! It's Barack Obama! Say "Barack"! Say "Yes We Can!" What a fun day...

Sitting up in her chair

Ada likes sitting in her little seat, whapping at her colorful toy that spins and spins and spins. Still, she loves sticking her fingers in her mouth the best...hee hee.

Ada and Maisie, two old ladies with wild hair styles...

Ada first met Maisie when Maisie was in her mama Eliza's belly. She was so happy to meet her in person for the first time this past week! Maisie is an awfully smiley baby and was not intimated at all by the big porker! The two of them napped, nursed, smiled and had the best time together. And the two mamas, Christina and Eliza, got the chance to drink apple cider, eat chocolate cookies, and re-connect as new mamas in the world. What a fantastic day....

Ada falls asleep on her walk...

Our Sleepy Family

What a pretty girl!

On the sheepskin

What a colorful outfit!

Halahboji

Halahboji is crazy about Ada. After his early morning prayers & meditation, he would come home in time for Ada's morning wake up time. Each morning they would read the paper and have breakfast together. Later on in the day, when Ada was feeling fussy, Halbohji would soothe her in the Baby Bjorn. Here they are, strolling around the house together.

On a Big Red Chair

As soon as we got back to New York City, Chris caught the flu. Poor guy...he had a fever for four days in a row. Ada and I avoided it by heading to New Jersey to spend time with Halmoni and Halahboji, who were crazy missing Ada after being gone so long...

Red Wool Outfit

After being in New Mexico for about a month and a half, we have finally returned home to New York City. We all can't believe how big Ada has grown. She loves sitting up, but still needs help. Also, it is freezing here in the city. Roland and Anna sent us this warm wool outfit - we remember thinking to ourselves, our kid is never gonna get this big. Oh, we hear it time and time again...time flies and they get so big so fast!
