Who Am I?

Highline

As soon as the highline opened up on the west side, Chris, Ada, and I rushed over to see it. I can remember this abandoned elevated subway line from when I was a kid, and Chris and I have been watching its conversion into a park and walkway within the last year. We can't believe how beautiful it is to walk through it, from 14th to 24th street.

Standing on her own?

Here is Ada with her godfather, uncle Carter, learning how to stand on her own.

Yes, I still have my bald spot on the back of my head

Gavri

This is Ada's good friend Gavriel, hamming it up for us on the dance floor. We miss Gavri, terribly. He and his parents went away for the summer to Maine... going to the playground is just not the same without him. On this night, Gavri, Tamy, and Miki stopped by to say goodbye...

Swinging

On Mondays, I take the train up to New Haven and spend the day with my study group, the Working Group on Globalization and Culture at Yale. It's really tough for me to leave Ada, but when I am there among the most creative and brilliant people I know, our brains and ideas put together, I am glad for the time away. Still, when I get back on the train, I get all antsy -- I can not wait to get home. This was the last day the group met for the year. When I got back into our Brooklyn neighborhood, I joined Ada, Chris, and Uncle Michael for some special time by the little park on the river, and covered my little baby with hugs and kisses.
