Giving Ada her first sponge bath at home

with Mary

Babies sleep so much! I love when Ada is awake and looking around the room. Her opened eyes are beautiful...

The chubbiest cheeks!

A morning with mama

Sometimes in the mornings we can't help but pull Ada out of her own bed and into ours...we just stare, stare, stare at her...

Who does Ada look like?

Papa? We think Ada has the top half of Chris's head and definately his profile. She shares the same hair, hairline, and cowlick.

But Ada and I share the same cheeks and lips, although her cute lips get bigger and bigger by the day and are beginning to look like her papa's. Doesn't she look like a mini version of me here?

Do you see our combination? She seems to be the perfect combination of both of us...

This photo was taken earlier today, the last day for us in the hospital. The staff in the maternity ward at Yale-New Haven were absolutely amazing and it was actually a little hard for us to leave! Still it feels so good to be out and about in the real world. We are now at Ken's apartment and will leave for NYC tomorrow...we can't wait to finally be home.

Here is Ada patiently waiting to leave in her car seat. Thanks to Kevin for her beautiful blanket.

Just waiting....
Van gave us a ride to Ken's place...thank you so much Van! Ada is waiting in her arms as I get ready to feed her...she is so cute clothed but man, she is too cute naked. Here she is looking all glamorous...
Our friends come for a visit! Van and Albert and below Naomi and Denise...

Long toes...

Ada went through a lot during delivery and came out with a sore head. She had to patiently wait through 5 hours of pushing! Here she is recovering...

Here she is loving her papa who is the best diaper changer and baby swaddler ever.

Chris testing out one of the holds we learned in our childbirth class.

Even though Ada looks tiny to us, she was by far the biggest baby in the nursery! Over 9lbs heavy and over 21 inches long, the doctors and nurses joked that I had given birth to a one-month old during my delivery. Every one who came in our room commented on her long fingers, big feet and long toes.
