eh-mmmmm

Ada learned how to say "mmmm" and sometimes we think she is saying mama or uhma (which is mom in Korean). Mmmm must be one of the first consonant sounds babies make...no wonder why "mom" in so many different languages has the sound of mmmm. Another thing I realized is that we learn how to make sounds and songs before we even learn words. That's pretty amazing...

Here is Ada attempting to nap. Our apartment is really dark and so is her room so you can't really see anything. But you can hear Ada's "mmmmm"s - it's sort of a comforting thing she does when she wants to console herself. When she gets upset with us she "eh-mmmm"s and when she'd rather be outside playing instead of napping she sings her "eh-mmmm"s.

She's ready for the Met; all opera stars start this way. I recall "MMMMMM" is the key.
