Comfort Blankie

Ada loves her little comfort blankie - it helps her go to sleep. As soon as she is in her bed, she looks for it, immediately, on her right hand side. Then, she rubs it all over her face to help her fall asleep.

I searched online for this comfort blankie. There are all sorts of marketing ploys for comfort blankies. Some advertise how important "organic" materials are for "comfort." I found one site that advertised a blankie with special fibers that especially stuck with mom's scent. In in the end, I wanted a comfort blankie that Ada would have as a keepsake when she was older.

When the blankie showed up in the mail, Chris poked fun at me for buying such a "ridiculous" thing. "You bought a napkin?!?!" he exclaimed. "But it provides comfort!" I explained...

To all the moms out there. If you are trying to get your small child to sleep and hate to hear crying, please run out and buy a comfort blankie! Yes...a napkin will also do. Ada's ability to soundly fall asleep is testament to the power of the blankie. All babies need woobies...

Btw: Whenever she feels annoyed about going down for a nap, she turns her body sideways and ends up sleeping this way...funny girl.
